We had a TB meet-up in Nara,Todaiji. Todaiji is famous temple as it has a big budda statue. Mike came from New York(that time),it was second meet-up with him as he attended the red leaves meet-up in Minoh-park last year! This time,we can visit another nice place of red leaves.
Nara Todaiji is not so far from Osaka. We taken a train from Namba station about 1 hour.Just through Nara park and get to the Todaiji which is the place of world haritage. It's good season to visit so many tourist were there. usually we local people are went to there once when we were in a student of elementary school. I've visiting here sometimes taking foreigners, always fun at any season.
I never knew that the park is so nice with fall leaves...there are almost covered by gold leaves! What a beautiful place it is!! We found a nice tree to sit down and take photo of us. It's one of my favorite photo.
We walked to Kasuga-shrine. It's also close to Todaiji. We met some deers around there, they knows very well who feed to them...maybe they are looking at the store someone buying foods for them:) Kasuga-shrine is very beautiful, consist by some builldings and you can walk in nature.
Walking to the station from Kasuga-shrine,there is a small traditional town called "Nara-machi". Some tradetional Japanese style houses are there and they are being shops for souvenir,cafe,... Mike found a shop sales Yukata(Kimono for summer),he bought one there. There are some food store too,we had Japanese rice cake, and rice cokkies were so nice as they sales them after making it soon.
At night,we joined an another group at Namba. We had a famous local food,Okonomi-yaki together was so much fun time in autumn:)
