The Naniwa Maru,a Reconstructed Higaki-kaisen

The out of wall consist of 4208 glasses this Dome. It got the Structural Special Award in 2002. I had been interested in the Dome how is it beautiful building. But I didn't have a opportunity to come there. It's near the Kaiyu-Kan which is one of famous aquqrium in Osaka. We could see the Dome from the station of Cosmosquare. Then we saw the Universal Studio Japan at other side bay. 

The name of the Dome is Osaka MariTime Museum.  There is a reconstructed Higaki-Kaisen which is old ship in Japan. They show to us  the way of a voyage developments in a ship around the world. There are many kind of exhibition things which were import. And some the lacquer ware which were pulled up from bottom of the sea. I had been most interested in a Chronometer.  The Chronometer was used as a watch in voyage. The Chronometer was set to Greenwich Mean Time and the longitude was extrapolated from the difference with the local time at the current position. I tried measurement at the time. It was almost correct. :)

Main boat is Higaki-kaisen which carried foods from Naniwa(Osaka) to Edo(Tokyo) at Edo period(1603-1867). This is why almost staff are wearing a costume in Edo period.
One of staff was an explanation to us that "This boat took time 2days or might be a month and from time to time it couldn't arrive"lol

We went to the 3D theater final in there. We ride a gondola and traveling at Venezia in Italy about 10 min.
