There are almost Kutani!!!

My boy friend Michael came from USA. As he loves collecting about antique, especially Japanese sake cups called "Sakazuki". Sakazuki is almost made by ceramic so it made at some famous places like Arita,Kutani,Kiyomizu...  Michael is loving hand drawing by Kutani.  As I notice,it's not only he likes Kutani, many foreiners are seems like liking Kutani ceramic.   I have had no idea for that, but Michael suggested me going to flea market. OK,sounds nice! We went to Tenjin-san at Kyoto.

Tenjin-san is the name of the market. It hold at every 25th in a month at Kitano Tenmangu in Kyoto.  I never visited there before even it's a big famous temple so it may chance to vist,I was so happy!

We arrived at Kitano Tenmangu.

Kutani,a beautiful one:)
How many store were there...I think about 300...more. There were not only antique. foods, hand made stuffs, hand made jewelry...  Fainally,we went to there twice during he was in Japan. Then I found that foreigners might be like to go to there as they sales many traditional Japanese things like Kimono,Ukiyoe,Kutani...

Also I becoming very like antique stuffs lately. I'll be glad if I could put something I made a cooking on a dish which used around Edo era, meaning in 150-300years ago. So I started to find something nicer but you have to be careful because it difficult to recoganize it real or fake. At the flea market, I learned that shouldn't buy expensive stuffs and must be know what is the value for you. But sometime you may found a very nice stuff, this is why we can't stop frequent there.

Haha, Yasuyo, isn't that nice? I had that situation too... sometimes if a foreign friend is visiting, then we have a reason to see a place or event in our own country that we haven's been to yet!
