Ting is my old TB friend from Malaysia, luckly we got a chance to see each other when she travel to Osaka with her cousin Ade from Australia. Since they make plan to visit Japan,to see snow is Dez dream! As she never see/touch snow. I was thinking where is the best place for it. Mt.Koya is my first thought then Biwa valley...but Biwa valley is not real snow so it unfastened. They also serch themself some places then asked me about Yoshino-yama in Nara.
Yoshino-yama in winter??
It's very famouse of the Cherry Blossoms in April.
Unfortunatelly(!?) We had very warm new year's day. So couldn't expect snowing on the mountain.
We met in Kintetsu Abeno St. at 10 am. I recoganized Ting soon as she is wearing pink jacket for finding her by me easily:P hehe! We asked the station if they has good deal tickets for Yoshino, but they has not.
We arrived Yoshino. We don't knpw where should we go first, anyway start walking,if we were tiring take a bus!...we thought so easily. We stop by second old temple "Kinpusenji" in Japan, it's a world haritage. We spent some time here,it's so peaceful and comfortable. We didn't talk it but we loved there. After leave here,we along the path, then some lovely shops are appear that area. We girls are loving to see it,you know.
Got energy again! We start walking again. It's short hiking course but walking bamp tiny path and winding. We sweat and take off outer jackets! There are almost only us hiking in winter! We just imagine how beautiful there in Spring.
Maybe can't make hike till deep area of Yoshino "Kamisenbon". We decided to visit "Yoshino-Mikumari shrine" (World haritage) it located before Kamisenbon. Dez found some snow...almost ice though...on the top of house roof. We were happy,at least she could saw and touch some of them. We thew up it in air and Ade catch by her hands....ice though:P
Yoshino Mikumari Shrine is very still and beautiful. It built in Momoyama Era. We walk slowly around then took some nice pictures there! My favorite picture is from here in this trip!!
We left Yoshino,I definitely want to back here some times.
After arrived in Osaka other local buddy Hiroko joined us for dinner and Warren from South Africa. We enjoyed Kushikatsu and get warm! :)
