Manneke Pis
Our second day of the trip started early, the whole night there was rumble and some people fell out of bed in a drunk state. However everyone was present at breakfast and at nine thirty everyone was in the bus, on our way to Brussels. Today the weather was nice, perfect for citying. Even though the smoke of yesterday's misery still hangs around, in general we're all looking forward to today. No more war. After a trip with some traffic troubles and a sightseeing Brussels, trying to find a parking spot for our tourbus, we arrived at brussels. The sun shone and it felt like the whole world was shining. We arrived at the central square, and after a short explanation of today's planning, we were free to sightsee.

So we did, first we wanted to see.... Manneke Pis. A very tiny little man to be honest, but fun to have seen. If you are a culinair lover, do go there for every street has at least five chocolate stores, and waffles are available everywhere. And as we are girls, and 16 we shopped, till we went to the bus, serious now our teacher warned us, this is very official. The European Parlement is public so we went for a visit. Before we got there our busdriver went into a very tiny street wih a dead end. About half an our later we had come out of it again, backwards, and finally arrived there. And we were accepted as on an american airport. Metal detectors, And as I had iron on my shoes I was fully checked by an officer. I felt lika criminal! Anyway we had a reading, explanation about the function of the Europarlement and the authority of it.

This is given in all european languages, wich are quite many. But our dutch guide had a good story, and showed us the great hall. The whole building was very static, and speaking out loud was not authorised. As we came out we returned o the center to eat something. For those who know Paris, the tiny streets with restaurants trying to get you in are in Brussels as well. One of us even got an proposal to marriage. Eventually we chose, and the food was good, and not expensive. Our journey back home was noisy and fun. Even though I found my  phone was stolen in our restaurant, so beware! Back home from two days of many impressions. To opposite day's one of our past, and one of our future.
