Beijing was in the changing season from winter to spring. It was 6 degree Celcius and misty.
Our guide was totally a catastrophe. He barely spoke English, his pronounciation was terrible and he did not explain much. I was very dissapointed with him that I decided to find all information by myself. We just took picture each time we passed a new building that we did not know what the use and what the history of that building. I did not make a research before coming to Beijing because I count on the tour guide to explain. Since our tour guide is hopeless, we purely lost in space in this huge area.
Forbidden city is unbelievably huge. If you are not fancy with walking, even more if you are not interested with history that attached to this tourism object, just stop the idea of going through this site. Walk out as soon as possible to the nearest gate.
The worst thing of this experience was we did not know what the use of each of those buildings and rooms. Of course, there were some explanation written in English on each section but we did not have much time to read all of them and too many to see and to go through.
