Barry checking his email by the pool
Barry has never been to Las Vegas
without business appointments! He was so surprised to learn how much walking there is around the Strip! We dropped off our rental car at the airport, took a cab back to the MGM Grand, walked through the casino and bought a day pass for the Monorail. It was easy to ride, clean, and we met nice people everytime we rode. Our 1st mistake was not reading the map correctly and getting off for our Hilton Resort at the Hilton Hotel, which was really just 2 blocks apart....these are Las Vegas blocks, though, and we had to meander through a new construction site during the long walk back to our hotel! It just about did Barry in! After a relaxing lunch by the pool and a presentation from the Resort Sales Staff, we walked across the street and through the Sahara casino to catch the Monorail (much much closer) and ride down to Harrah's, walk through the Casino, and down the Strip to the Venetian. I had not been to the Venetian before and cannot believe how beautiful it is inside!
We found a lovely little Italian restaurant for dinner before walking through the shops and canal to the Blue Man Theater!
