Two weeks of fun @ Zakynthos
In the summermonths July and August most of the Dutch people will travel southwards to the Mediterranean Countries to catch some sun, sand, sea, good food and a couple of drinks. Also my friend and I decided to travel to southern Europe, to one of the Greek islands. I never heard of Zakynthos, but this island was mentioned in one of the brochures I got from the travel agency. The appartments were situated near the beach, with a Greek owner and the complex was small, just a couple appartments not more and just right. After a 4 hour flight we arrived at Zakynthos. At the little airport our luggage arrived very quickly and it was just a short search for the right bus. The bus driver stopped not near our complex and we had to walk over the beach for about 200m which was very funny with a wheeled suitcase :-) We checked in and found out that our appartment was clean enough, beds were good and shower functional. There was also a supermarket in the neighbourhood and further downtown the restaurants and pubs.
