Library tour around the world...

Glasgow Travel Blog | Travelogue | Travel Journal

I'm taking my wanderlust to a new level by shedding everything familiar and safe and hitting the road with a one way ticket and lots of guts. I start in Ireland, with planned stops in E. Europe before arriving in Egypt, then onto Tanzania for a Mt. Kili climb/safari before arriving in Zanzibar. From there, S. Africa, India, SE Asia, Australia/NZ, and eventually S. America. Afterward skidding home on fumes of glory, whereupon I will quickly be couch-surfing until I can land on my feet again.

Library tour around the world...

Day Two in Glasgow - another rainy day.  I think I got excited about this place yesterday because the sun actually came out in the afternoon.

My first stop today is the Mitchell library that is just across the street from my hostel.  This place rocks!  They let visitors have free internet access, which has the fastest connection I've seen so far, and get this, there is a full bar here!  I think my sister Jen would appreciate that most - drinking while browsing books :)  Well, I don't think you can walk about with your drink, but I love this place.

OK, now off to brave the rain to see another free museum.  I just thought I'd chime in on this library.  I've managed to visit the library of every place I've been so far, except Dublin.  It's a good place to chill for a bit, take a load off, and read some news if you so choose.

HA! I DO love it. The Scots have it all figured out. I am telling you my bookstore/bar idea would be a hit. That is AWESOME!!!
