Camping at the beach - one of our many sundowners (Mark is in the middle and WV on the right).
I have returned from the wilds of Namibia after a week of camping in the desert, in caves, and on the beach. I had the most amazing time and now here I sit, sad, depressed and lonely after having to part ways with the fellas. Mark, our driver/guide, had to get back to Windhoek and I decided to stay on in Swakop a few more days, so I had to say goodbye to him. He is the most beautiful person I have ever met, inside and out, and it was so hard to bid him farewell. This part of traveling really sucks. My other companion from West Virginia was a young frat boy whom I did not get along with at all. Such a strange mix of company, but I would have tolerated anyone or anything to have had this experience. I will write about it in more detail perhaps tomorrow, but right now I am trying to find some happiness on my 33rd birthday.
