Semifinals: MSU vs UConn & UNC vs Villanova

This was our second trip to the Final Four and one big difference was that this was the first time that the NCAA decided to use the entire football dome instead of splitting it in half with a curtain. On one hand, this made Ford Field feel very full and louder than last time (it was the second largest crowd to ever watch a college basketball game). On the other hand, it meant that seats were even further away. We weren't that high up, but we were very far away horizontally. It was easier to watch the games on the giant scoreboard than it was to see the tiny players running up and down the court. It was really hard to tell if the ball went in. You had to go by the reaction of the crowd.
The first game was the only one of the three that was exciting and the only one where I enjoyed the outcome.
The second game was not as close or as enjoyable for me. I grew up in Winston-Salem, home of Wake Forest, and went to NC State, so I pretty much loathe UNC. Yet with my luck, both times I have been to the Final Four, I have seen them win it all. I should really stop going. The Tar Heels ran away from Villanova 83 to 69.
