DADDY'S GARDEN (2008)

In the garden everyday
Daddy toils both night and day
Cutting and spraying; keeping
the grass and pests at bay.
Digging and plowing,
under the sun’s unforgiving ray.
In the garden everyday
Daddy toils both night and day
Plants, taken from a tray is planted
with prayers and love; with hope
that God up above will shine his favour
and someday we’ll reap the fruits
of daddy’s hard labour.
In the garden everyday
Daddy toils both night and day
Pests and diseases were kept away;
The trees are fruitful, their bunches sway
From this rich land, the harvest is grand.
Yes, prayers, sweat and tears pave the way,
Towards a brighter future
for my brother and I someday.

The Humming-bird breeze blows,
as leaves are called upon the streets.
They all cry with great agony
as they're being crushed by feet.
The flowers’ beauty blooms big on the crack of dawn.
Until the beauty goes flashing by and all of it is gone.
The children run like they're mad up and down the street.
Till they're sweating from head to toe,
so they search for shelter and have a nice seat.
The waters pound powerful on the rocks
Take a quick dip
into the crystal blue sea.
It stays just the same
in any sort of weather.
