I have to confess, I didn't like Cartagena!!! hahaha (now I love it). The reason: the beach wasn't pretty and all I wanted to do was go to the beach. I made a deal with my parents and if we went to Cartagena on vacation, we would have to go to San Andres on our next vacation!
I didn't go back to Cartagena for over 10 years and they improved the Old City in many ways. New restaurants/bars, new painting for the house, and the plazas. I still don't like to go to the beach but everything else about this city is amazing!
