You can go there very easily with the ferry. Ferry takes about an hour and cost 140HK$ economy or 250HK$ first.
We took first class tickets of TurboJet . You get a free lunch in first class, which was very convenient, as it was almost 12 and we were hungry.
After arriving at Macau ferry pier, we went to the hotel, The Venetian on Cotai Strip, with the free shuttle bus.
They're doing a lot of construction out there on Cotai Strip. Not so many hotels or casinos operational at the time.
The Venetian and the Four Season are completed. I've seen The Venetian in Las Vegas - but this one seems to be even bigger!
Large casino floor, big shopping mall, very nice food court... I liked this place! Do I have to mention that the hotel room was just gorgeous? Too bad we only had this room for just one night :-(
Well, we had some nice food at the Venetian food court and afterward went downtown Macau to check out the sights. As a tourist you most likely go to see the ruins of St. Paul's cathedral, probably the most famous sight in Macau. So we checked out the ruins, then went downtown. Very nice, but also soooo many tourists! We went to the see the downtown casinos like the Wynn and the MGM. Very nice casinos!
Late in the evening we went back to the hotel, where we had dinner at McSorley's Pub in The Venetian, drinking Erdinger Weissbier and having Burgers... again! ;-)
