Ha Long Bay, final day

The mist around the place.
In the morning, I wake-up and go to see the view outside of my cabin. Our boat is anchored somewhere but not far from other fellow boats. The fog is very thick at the moment, still, it can not hide totally those limestones around us. They are emerged out of the mists. The situation is very quite, no waves, no activities. I feel like I'm alone in this universe, like William Smith in the movie "I am a Legend". What a mystical feeling I can not perfectly decribe....

Far from my boat, there is already one dinghy coming approach to to my boat. It seems that the rower see me coming out from the cabin. She just tried her luck in case I want to buy something in this very early morning. I don't want to buy anything at the moment so I politely say no to this woman. She understands and sheer away her dinghy.
A wet morning.

Soon, we have our breakfast. Only with bread and jam. Then, we take a bath and package our things. We should take all the baggages out from the cabin at 08.00 am. We say goodbye to the Dutch lady since she will continue her trip in Ha Long Bay for the third day. She took 3 days trip that usually includes staying at Cat Ba Island.

Then, we started to cruise again to go back to the harbour. Along the way, we go upstairs to the sundeck and sit-down to enjoy the beautiful panoramas Ha Long Bay offers to us. I really love this journey back because as the sun rises, the fog is dismissed and we can see the views pretty clear.
My family.
It was beautiful maybe I have to say it incredible, spectacular! I think it would be very lovely to spend honeymoon doing this trip. I suggest anybody who wants to do their honeymoon to think about this option. I am sure you will have such a romantic moment at this place.

After couple of hours, we finally reached the harbour again. We have our lunch which is our last meal on board. Then, as usual, a small boat comes to pick us up. This time, we use a small bus. Unluckily, they fulfill the bus with other group that makes it almost impossible to pile all the luggages because the second group comes with a big numbers of members. I think the tour and travel force us to fit into that bus too much!

We stop at a big souvenirs hall where I attempt to give some food to my little one, Raka. It's been three days since he stop to eat any meals that I start to worry about it.
You jump, I jump!
I fail again this time. I don't know why he refuse to eat everytime we have to eat, he just loose his appetite. So, all we can do is just giving him milk and I think it is not enough for a 2 years old boy. I don't have time to buy anything as souvenirs at that hall. I just hope I could do it somehow when we arrive Hanoi.

At around 4.00 pm we reach Hanoi. We have to drag the baggages along the way to get into our hotel since the bus can not go to the street where the hotel is located, I don't know why. There's a little problem where the tour guide insists that I have paid the Ha Long Bay trip already while I contacted Binh and he says that he hasn't paid the tour and travel yet. So, I tell the tour guide guy to come back to his office to make this problem clear and bring the receipt.
Check-out from the boat.
He seems very reluctant to go back to clear this problem. Maybe because he thinks it is not part of his job and he looks very tired. Just like me. But, finally, he agrees to go back and he does. He shows up again around 6.00 pm.

I have to be hurry because I have an appointment with my Vietnamese friends to have dinner at 6.00 pm. Seems that we can not make it in going by ourselves to the place where we suppose to have the dinner. It certainly needs some clear information and more things to do in order to reach the right place. So, I call Binh and see if he can pick us up from the hotel. He agrees to do that.

The rain starts again and around 6.30, Binh shows up with his family (Len and Xiu Xiu). We go to this restaurant. It is very big, I forget to find out the restaurant name from Binh. At that time, I was a bit sad because some of my friends can not make it.
It's so spacious that you can cycling or play futsal here :)
Tri has a delayed flight schedule from Ho Chi Minh city, Dung, Tri's brother is busy with a more important matter than having dinner with me :) Khoi is out of reach, I can not call his mobile number. Tien comes later with his wife and his son, Duy. Tuson comes late. Tuson looks very very young :)

The restaurant offers a wide variety of Vietnamese food. I was very very tired so I can not enjoy the meal or have a normal conversation with the guys. Moreover, Raka is also very tired and he acts like a horrible baby boy I've never seen him like that before. Lucky me, at least Rara is still okay, eat a lot and enjoy her time there.

We finish the dinner, take pictures and a flashback hits me right away.
Binh at the back with Len and his daughter Xiu Xiu. Tuson was next to me, Tien was next to Tuson with his wife and child, Duy.
I remember when I cried unstoppable seven years ago. That afternoon, my last afternoon in Germany, I was just about to depart from Cologne back to my home country after one year stay in Germany. I thought I would never see my friends again. At that time, Tri, Tien, and Binh said that I did not have to worry at all because our countries are very close to each other. We will meet again someday. I was very pessimistic. I thought it was just a way to comfort me. Nothing more. But, here I am, in Hanoi, meeting this guys again like they said :) Yeah, they're right. I manage to do that, finally!

Tuson gave a strong handshake before he left. Maybe after this, we will never see each other again FOREVER. Of course, we still can keep contact through many kinds of media as the world of IT allow us to do that. Still, for a moment, I thought I just wanna jump over him and give him my biggest hug, a very tight one! :P

Binh and Tien take us back to the hotel and we say goodbye there.
Well, that's all I remember from the last night I stay in Hanoi, Vietnam.

The best place to stay in Hanoi
I think this is a very good choice that I made in Hanoi. In front of the hotel, there is a market. You can buy shirts, food, souvenirs, whatever. … read entire review
