So our first trip to Los Angeles was interesting and delightful.  We got in late and rented a car outside of LAX and made our way to downtown LA where jenn's sister lives.  On our way we passed signs for compton and crenshaw blvd, everything i saw growing up watching television.  Right before we got into downtown we saw the helicopters out with the spotlights on. That was definitely insane to see in person. It was basically like watching a live version of the show cops.  But we got to sleep, woke up the next day, drove Amanda to work and we got to explore La La Land all by ourselves. We drove up sunset blvd. and i saw all of the bars and clubs that i grew up reading about.  It was definitely so wild to see all these things in person.
For many people, it might not be as interesting but when you grow up listening to music and read all about the clubs that bands play in out in La.  While driving through hollywood, we made our way into Beverly Hills. We drove up a couple of streets to see some of the mansions. I wanted to eat breakfast and Jenn discovered a little cafe called The Nosh in Beverly Hills. It was a brooklyn style breakfast spot located in the heart of LA.  It was definitely good food but very pricey.  Afterwards, we made our way down Santa Monica Blvd towards Santa Monica. I parked the car and we walked towards Ocean ave.
and finally got to see the Pacific Ocean for the first time. I really didnt want to make the trek all the way down to the shore but i was told i had to by Jenn.  we got all the way to the ocean and touched the pacific. It is definitely a different feel out there then back on the East Coast. More spread out, not as congested as the New Jersey shore.  That night we met up with my friend Dennis and Ben from NJ who have recently moved out to LA and we got the drinking started.  We went to a house party because Amanda was concerned her ID wouldnt work in a bar(but since has worn the thing out) and we ended up going to a house party on the edge of Beverly Hills.  Basically everyone at the party was from the East Coast and working in the film, music, and probably porn industry. It was a good night, but we had to get out of there so we could wake up for Disneyland the next day.
The next day we got banana green tea smoothies in the lounge at Amandas place and made our way down to Anaheim.  I wont speak too much on Disney because i have been to Disneyworld and Disneyland doesn't even hold a candle.  we spent about 12 hours straight walking around that place to accommodate Jenn. That will definitely never happen again.  We did find some new exhibits that we enjoyed like turtle talk, nemo's adventure and the monsters inc ride. Needless to say, we took many pictures with characters and i just could not make the drive back to LA. Amanda, the trooper took the reigns and i crashed in the back seat.  That was our trip. We have since flew back to LA many weekends. so, some of the info in here could not all be from the first visit because by now i probably have some dates and events jumbled up but you get the idea.
