I got up around 9 and went to look for internet. There was a computer at the hotel, but it looked so old... I walked back to the town. I found a cibercafe and while I was checking my email (because I was working, hehehe), a guy approached.
I went back to the hostel and we were ready to go to the beach. Took the tan lotion and was ready to go. The day was gorgeous. It was sunny and really warm, but the water was so refreshing, splash!!! Why did I have my cellphone with me? Well, to use the alarm for sunbathing. There's a whole system for it: 30min front, 30min back and keep on turning, hahaha.
We arrived to the hostel. This place is so laid back, that although we arrived last night we hadn't checked in, hahaha. And what was funnier was they didn't care, hahaha. I love this atmosphere, so laid back and without worries, nice! Nobody was working at reception. Just the girl who works at the kitchen was around. She asked me if I had breakfast, since it was included. I told her I didn't, but it was too late to serve it now :( Oh well, nevermind... After taking a refreshing shower, we decided to get something for lunch - actually it would be more like brunch since we didn't have anything to eat, hahaha.
There's a "shopping center" in Mancora, hahaha.
Ok, it was time to go back to the beach, yay! After stopping at the hotel to pick up the surfboard and get ready, we were back at the beach. More sunbathing for me :) The beach look so empty and quiet. Usually it's crowded, but right now there were not many people there. There are always handicrafts vendors and I wanted to get something for my ankle, so when someone came around offering his merchandise I made him stop.
My friend was surfing, although the waves weren't the best. Finally we went back to the hostel when it started to get a bit windy and dark, which was about 6:30pm. I took a shower and was a bit sleepy, but didn't want to sleep. I would like to be really tired later, so I wouldn't feel the annoying rooster again, hahaha. While we were having lunch, I asked the guy at the bar at what time the soccer match between Peru and Brasil would take place.
What a surprise! Peru lost against Brasil. It was 3:0, ouch! But it wasn't as bad as for an Argentinean guy who was almost crying after watching his team lost against Bolivia 6:1, pffff. At the end of the game I was looking for caipirinhas, hahaha. Ok, if town was empty the night before, tonight it was even emptier... I guess, people didn't feel in the mood of party after that disaster of match... Well, I'm not such a big soccer fan, so it didn't hurt me that much.
Bars looked so empty and we ended going to a small restaurant that looked really nice and according to my friend had the best grilled octopus. And it was right. This was so tender and tasty, yummy! We kept on walking for a bit more and went back to the hostel, ready to sleep and just hopping the rooster would sleep longer this night, hehehe.
