My first impression of the airport, as i walked out of the plane, was that it seems like they've had the exact same designer here as they did in Oslo, Gardermoen. The wood on the walls and everything was exactly the same. But that impression didn't last me longer than to the toilets...
The woman who was sitting next to me on the plane was alone with a baby, so I helped her get all her stuff off the belt. Not easy to travel with a baby when you need so much stuff, car seats and carriages and a whole lot of other stuff that I don't even know what is.
I found Sin the second i got out of the toll area, and we walked to her car.
The drive was interesting, I was a bit surprised to see so many rundown houses and areas. It looks like not too much has happened since they got out of the soviet union, but at the same time they have some really fancy new buildings scattered here and there. And people seem to be spring cleaning outside, cleaning up leaves and stuff, just like people at home are doing this weekend. I actually think everything here will look a lot nicer when the grass becomes green and there's leaves on the trees again.
Sin's buiding is interesting. it's a pretty nice bulding, not too rundown, but the stairs and the entrance look like they haven't seen neither paint nor water in the last 50 years. And inside there's a nice, modern, fairly new apartment. surprise!
