Some people collect coins. Some people collect pictures of baseball player. Some people want visit all of the Hard Rock Cafes. I like to visit Hooters Restaurants. Yes, just like I read Playboy for the articles, I visit Hooters for the food. I have a wife who thinks it's some combination of funny and strange, and a daughter who really likes the Hooter's logoed merchandise.

Margo's Hooters

This Hooters, the one on Blake Street in downtown Denver, almost doesn’t make my list. I didn’t actually get a chance to sit down and eat or have a drink. Margo used to work at a hair salon, and on Halloween of 2003, the girls decided to dress up as Hooters girls for the occasion. Margo is way too conservative for that sort of thing, but in the spirit she agreed to get a Hooters tee, instead of a tank top, and be the Hooters girl that ran the gift kiosk.

So we drove down to this specific Hooters so her shirt would be from the same restaurant as the others. It all worked out. Margo’s says “Lodo”, which stands for Lower Downtown, which is the area where this Hooters (and Coors Field) is located. Sadly, and I have no idea why, this Hooters closed down just a couple of years later. Maybe there was just too much competition. But, at least I got to go inside before it ceased to exist.
