Road Trip to Sea of Galilee(Tiberias)

This was my first opportunity to get out of the port since arriving in Israel

So, Roger, Sally and I loaded up in a rental car and headed out. The only destination we had in mind was the Sea of Galilee. Let me just say that Israel was nothing like I expected, I thought it would be rock and sand, but it felt more like Miami or SoCal. Just B-E-A-U-TIFUL!

After driving for several hours we finally arrived in the Sea of Galilee(Tiberias) area, took some pictures and then it was time to return to the port. We had heard that evening traffic would be bad, that was an understatement. (See picture below.)

On the way back... (Continued on the next page.)

That is exactly what I thought Israel would be as well! I also thought it would be very conservative and religious...and boy let me tell you, I partied like a rock star over there!!! I can't wait to go back!
