On to JFK

Dave and Doug at the airport
Lee and I got up, got ready, and gathered our gear together. He had called for a car service to pick us up for the airport, and they arrived about 10 minutes early.  That was good, in case of rain delays...but we still had plenty of time.  On the way to the airport, I received a work-related call on my cell...had to call my boss to have him take care of it.  He called me back at the airport, needing more information.  I gave him what he needed, and then shut my phone off...wouldn't turn it on again until I landed back in NY over a week later.  I'm on vacation, baby!  Deal without me!   At the airport, we found Dave ( who I had traveled with before) and I also met Doug for the first time.   We went through all the rigamarole of checking in, security, etc.  without incident,  and after about a 2 hour wait, boarded our JAL flight to Narita!

Excellent use of the word "rigamarole."
