Off to New York
Took the day off from work today so I could go to New York to get a visa to visit China. It's about a 45 minute drive from my home in Meriden to the Milford Train Station. I brought with me a letter from my boss, stating that I was not going there for any business purposes. The other 3 guys I'll be traveling with all live in Manhattan, and one of them had been refused a visa the other day because he didn't have such a letter. He was told to come back after he got proof that he would not be conducting business over there! ( We think it's because he works for a media company. The Chinese are skittish about allowing journalists into the country) I'm just a salesman, but I'm not taking chances. It takes 3 hours to get from my house to NY, I don't want to have to come back! I'll have the letter ready, wether I need it or not!
