Back to the hotel, more pictures of the garden
April 19, 2007
The sun was starting to come out, for the first time since we arrived, so I took the opportunity to explore the New Otani Hotel Garden some more, to get more pictures and video. We only gave the garden a cursory examination the other day, as my traveling companions are not shutterbugs like I am. I also wanted to try out my new camera tripod, purchased for this trip ( I've missed out on great night pictures on previous visits in London, Hong Kong, and Paris, that just didn't come out right without a tripod. The shutter is open too long on night shot, and my shakey hands just don't cut it!) I was hoping we could make it to Pallette Town in the evening, so I could get some shots of Rainbow Bridge at night. (Alas, it was not to be...we wound up going to a ball game instead!) Got plenty of good shots, then went back upstairs to meet the guys. We gathered everything we would need for the day, then took the subway to Asakusa.
