Last night before we left Phnom Penh, as I was switching channels between the Arsenals game and Beowulf in HBO, a very catching newsflash caught my attention. "BANGKOK PM DECLARES STATE OF EMERGENCY" Other side news come in as well, Tanks in the city, Government cancels arrangements for the Songkran and other sad news.

We got up early and had our very delicious and filling breakfast at Billabong. However, we were vigilant in checking the news on the current happenings in Thailand. We were 4 females and our parents are sending us freaked out messages all the way from home.

We opened the Phnom Penh Post, dated 13 April 2009 and I posted what's in the news. This issue is particularly memorable for me and my friends. Not only did it mentions the chaos in Thailand, it also says that it's Khmer New Year (which we celebrated trekking the Angkor Wat) and we appeared in the society page which was shot that previous Saturday night when we went to the Chow Bar in Phnom Penh.

Anyway, going to Siem Reap from Phnom Penh was a dreadful but exciting 7 hour journey. I've posted some of the stuff we met along the way.
