Early start

What were we thinking? A road trip to where? Amsterdam.  How far is that anyway?  We had no idea but we would soon find out the hard way.  As I recall, it was Wed. night we were having dinner at the Taj Mahal restaurant in Schweinfurt.  Enjoying our tandori dishes and red hot curry with rice when the idea of the trip first popped up.  "Do you have plans for the weekend?" asked Christine.  No, no not really, why?  Well, Lonnie and I are going to Amsterdam, want to come with us?  Clara, Sara and I looked at each us, hesitated and then exclaimed  "Yeah, let's do it...".  That's when it all began.
