Me in The Avenue in Allston
Like Brighton, ignore the dates on this one, this is based on nights out from April to September 2006! Allston was a great place for going out! Our regular haunt was a place called The Avenue, where they had several TV screens showing every sport you can imagine, and they had $1 draught beers 7 days a week! Being Irish, we put this cheap drink offer to good use, and let's just say they were sick of kicking us out the door at closing time! Each and every time last call was announced, we'd head up to the bar and order a huge round so we'd have plenty of stock until we were literally forced out the door!

Another good spot in Allston was the Kell's, a club about further down Harvard Ave. I didn't go here too often, but when I did it was always a good night, usually much of which I didn't remember the following day! They had $1 beers here on Wednesdays and free bacardi hours on Friday nights which was cool! Our favourite club in Allston was the Wonderbar. It was ridiculously expensive but the music was excellent. An MC who worked there lived next to a group of friends, so we were granted free admission most nights, which was cool! But $5.75 per drink was crazy, especially with The Avenue so close by!

While I found Allston to be a great place to go out, I don't think I could ever live there. There are a lot of strange people around there during the day, and it's always noisy! I've also heard reports from people who lived there that you can expect to be burgaled regularly!
