Bruxelles in the evening

And so, on returning to Bruxelles, I was hoping that I could visit either the World War sites like Waterloo, or visit Gasbeek Castle. Turns out that because it's a Saturday, they had limited service and I really couldn't be arsed waiting at a bus stop forever. Not to mention that my Leuven trip had totally bored me and I almost wanted to climb the next AA flight and head back home (yes, it's THAT boring!). Anyway I eventually ended up going back to the hostel, taking an afternoon nap (jetlag had started to catch on), and leaving for the city centre for a walkthrough. I had a lovely crepe with banana and whipped cream, and then walked around till sunset and headed back to the hostel.

At the hostel, my roommate was a cool German PhD student - the 2 of us went to Cafe Central for some drinks - loved the atmo there, and we were chatting till late in the night with a couple other blokes from Germany as well. We reached the hostel around 1am, met a Swedish couple relocating to Bruxelles and had a nice chat/debate with them. We slept by 2am...and I've never slept that well. Jetlag had caught up, and the drinks.... I was close to being in heaven!
