Festa de Junia is a holiday of sorts that is very popular in the state of Minias Gerias. It is sort of the equivalent of a summer barbeque, but instead is in the middle of winter (june), because Brasil gets super hot in the summer.

Anyways people dress up in traditional ranching garb, basically cowboy type dress, listen to country music, and eat a ton of beef. What you do, is kiss lots of girls, eat beef, tacos, chicken heart, drink cervasa Skol, smoke tobacco wrapped in corn leaf, and drink this stuff called casacha, which is kind of like rum. If your in Mineas Gereas in June, be sure to talk to locals, and you'll have a great barbeque.
