A much needed getaway. Would you believe it's been over 12 months since I've been overseas! The main purpose of this trip is just to catch up with friends in Seoul, but I'll take in some of the rest of ROK. And I also have 3 nights in Singapore, with the main objective at the moment being trying to line up some new artwork for my arm =D

We're going to the zoo, zoo, zoo... you can come too, too, too...

After nearly 12 hours staight in my tiny, windowless cell, I awake and head down for breakfast with was so kindly included.

Super... toast, juice, and tea... mmm... filling.

Disgruntled, I get my gear and take off for the zoo via MRT and bus.

I was the only foreing-looking person on the MRT or bus... hmm. I get to the zoo with a stress-free excursion and roughly 200 other people are unloading themselves from tour buses.. Nice one!

**Note fellow travellers: take your boarding pass if you flew Singapore Airlines.. you get a discount or something.

As many of you would already know, Singapore Zoo is reputedly one of the finest on offer. It's basically the only thing I remember from my first trip to Singapore – a 1994 family holiday.

It's still just as magical, and I only hope my photos can do it justice. I only brought a compact and not the SLR since I didn't really intend on doing much sight-seeing per se on this trip.

I won't even begin to outline the exhibits – just go! Only downside was that a lot of the exhibits were undergoing maintenance.

Oh, and I love Mandrills, but didn't take a photo because he was being a horny little boy. He wouldn't leave the female alone and felt that he wanted a morning quickie whilst I was there... hmm.

Come afternoon, I mounted the bus back to town. Wandered around Orchard Road, back to Chinatown for a wee rest and lunch. Then out to get a backup card for the camera.

Also went to a certain tattoo studio for ideas on my other arm – since I have an urge that needs filling.

Relaxing Lemur
I gave them some suggestions and he freehanded on me a pen design. All good, price good... Mirror and a closer look.

Ok... “what is that?” I say, pointing at some characters embedded in the design. He played dumb and I held up his business card with his name on, telling him I don't do signatures. He laughed a little sheepishly, I told him where he could walk to and left. Just imagine how many people are out there with signed tatts... Fkn unprofessional.

So slightly pissed off, I head off to check my mail and calm down – see how the plans with Winnie and Jo are going for tomorrow night – can't wait! :)

With some things worked out, I head off for some people-watching and grab a bite to eat.

How sad is this? I'm in Seoul on Sunday, but for dinner I have bibimbap... oops.

**Note to self: Tiger Beer is bad.
