Lindisfarne: Holy Island
November 10, 2007
Photos and Video from Lindisfarne
So, we hit up Bamburgh Castle on the way
to the Holy Island, and we stopped at this really cute tea house for
some breakfast. It was a lot larger than we expected! Sadly, it wasn't
open...but it didn't really matter since we didn't have much time to
see it anyway. Instead, we passed our time making videos for Tom who
couldn't come and reenacting Viking attacks using various accoutraments
such as camera tripods and umbrellas. In any case, we had to head north
to get to the causeway to the island. Since it is a causeway, it's
subject to tide times, so we had to be there by 12:45 and we couldn't
leave until 6:15.
Well, needless to say we barely made the 12:45
cut-off, but that made it all the more fun once we finally crossed!
