I don't know where this came from; the plan was to move cities for a year and a half and do a huge travel towards the end of 2009. Well, several meet ups, short travels, and endless conversations with new friends has taken me away sooner then expected. This is me sacking off work and buggering off to SE Asia for a few months (via some UK and Germany time out).

I'm too Young to be Retired - yeah right!

Final days at work are always tough, but this week has had it's emotional moments.  I'm so pleased to be rid of work commitments for a while, but I can't help but think about what I'm leaving behind for what is effectively, an unplanned, random trip.  My job was so easy, maybe too easy for me to feel totally satisfied, but anyway I've made my decisions and now I'm committed to them.  It's going to be very tough leaving this city for a while, but I've made my mind up to move here permanently when I'm more settled.

So, I've got a few days to kill and learn to switch off from work completely.  I've chosen to be a local tourist for a few days, but for now it's a Friday night (I know, I know, finishing work on Friday the 13th is a potentially bad omen) and I'm off out to celebrate this weekend.  My working life is effectively over for the best part of six months YAY!
