Road Trip TN-OH

This Road Trip was just unexpected.  After my friend picked me up from the airport he said that his friend had invited him for a birthday in Ohio, which meant leaving in a day to hit the roads.
After my disappointed European Trip, I didn't have any plans at all, so I was up for everything, so Ohio here we go!

I hadn't gone for a road trip in a long time, but this one sounded pretty exciting! .... We were supposed to leave Nashville around 3pm and arrive in Cleveland around midnight, yeah about 9 hours driving, but it took us a bit longer than that.

Through out the way we made several stops to grab something to eat or get into the restroom. If I am not wrong, we did 2 or 3 stops, one was in Louisville and another one was in Cincinnati, perhaps one more before arriving in Cleveland, but can't remember haha ....
The roads are just plane, plane plane plane..... while there was daylight, all I could see were flat fields, and the towns that we were passing by..... At some point everything turned so dark and foggy, and the huge trucks driving so fast, it could get a bit scary, but I just had to trust my driver hahaha....

Hours in dark passing, and me trying to talk about anything to my friend, so he won't fall asleep! haahha (that was my job!)..... So, imagine that everything is dark, you are kind of passing through in between two hills, and suddenly the view of a city full of lights appear....... It was amazing and so beautiful........ it was Cincinnati welcoming us!.  We were so impressed that drove a bit around the place and of course got distracted, but got back to the roads or we were going to arrive way too late in Cleveland :)

Luckily the night was a clear one and after long hours we arrived at Elie's place. He and my friend have been friends since pre school, and despite this was the first time I met Elie, we got pretty well along :)
The next day, we had breakfast all together in the first floor. Elie's uncle & aunt lived there, and were so nice to invite us for breakfast. His uncle was a former militar, lebanese who went to Cuba, and that's how he spoke Spanish. A very charming man with so many stories to tell.

After this great start of the day, we were ready to go to another friends house, the one who was going to celebrate his birthday.  Me, I was the stranger who didn't know anyone and didn't speak Lebanese btw, as all the gang was Lebanese and when they are in group, of course they rather speak their language; but it was not an inconvenient, everybody was so nice, funny, and I really spent a great time with all this new gang.
The next days, we spent hanging around, went to a couple of bars, to Erie's lake (where I went there years ago from the Buffalo side) and it was way too cold and windy; and since Elie was studying at CSU, we did a couple of visits to the campus :P, where I had the hottest hot wings I possible tried in my entire life, the hot wings were so hot, I just couldn't eat them :S ....
We also spent a lot of time at Omar's place, Elie's friend. All these people were just so incredible, I really felt in family.

Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer in Ohio, as my friend Joe had to come back to TN as he was expecting visitors from Atlanta, so we had to get back to the roads.

On our way back, the road was okay, but at some point started to rain, by the time we were in Louisville, boy! it was raining so hard that it was impossible to see the road. I have to confess I was afraid, but my friend said he got it under control :S (rolling eyes big time! haha) .... After a while things got back to normal again, so we arrived safe in Nashville.
