Crossing back into Germany
We had to leave Prague today which was sad because it really is a cool city, another place I'd like to spend more time in. We were headed back into Germany today and would be spending the night in Munich. Before I had left for vacation I had been given a mission by my friend to look for a metal beer garden sign for him to hang on his deck. Of course, I had forgotten all about this mission until we were going to Munich when I only had 2 days left to find the sign. The good thing was, hell we were going to Munich so certainly I'd find it there right????? No beer garden signs that I could find, none, nada, zilch which is just great because how does one spend 2 weeks in Europe 5 days of which is in Germany and not find one tiny beer garden sign, lol.
So after dragging Kerry once again all over Munich (sorry Kerry) to look for the sign we decided to do the next best thing and go to a beer garden and have some beers. Probably not the best idea since we were also going to a Bavarian dinner that night which included....yep you guessed it more beer. We had a couple of beers, evidently I've lost all alcohol tolerance from when I was younger, got a decent buzz, met some nice boys from Africa who were studying in Munich, took some paparazzi shots of passerbys and laughed our way back to the rest of the group, who then proceeded to laugh at us :)
Later that night we went to the Bavarian dinner, I called it the fake Oktoberfest. It was really a cool place though, it was huge and there were mad amounts of food out, HUGE mugs of beer and entertainment. As always we sat with Kerry and Mick and Sharon and Paul and just had a blast. At the table behind us were some boys from Japan who barely looked 18 and they were drinking and drinking. At one point one of them went up on stage put the little shorts and hat on and was trying to learn the Bavarian dances, it was great!! What a great night but bittersweet also, because it meant the end of the trip was near and we only had 1 more day to spend in this great country with all the new friends we had met.
