We didn't book any tours for our visit in Jamaica, wanted to just walk around and take it slow. We had a nice relaxed breakfast before we could walk of the boat and start exploring...
What we didn't know was that there would be lots and lots of local taxi drivers, tour operators and others that wanted to have us take their trip / tour of the island... They would not leave you alone, for every step you took there was another one approaching you...
Yes I do understand they have this as a living, and I do understand this is what they do when there is a BIG Cruise ship, or several ships at the pier, but that doesn't make it any more fun to try walk past them. After 10-15 of them approaching you you do get tired and start loosing your good sence of humor.
So that's more or less what we did, we walked to Hard Rock Cafe, took a cool dring - all by ourselves on the terrasse (NICE) and then hurried back to the ship... Sorry Jamaica, we do know this is not what you had in mind for us. We do like to come back again - but not on a cruise ship.
Back onboard we changed and went to the pool area, very nice. There were hardly anyone else there, and the kids had lots of fun swimming and eating ice-cream.
After spending some time by the pool we ended up on Deck 14 again for a cool drink before dinner.
Guess who came flying in from Las Vegas for tonights show? CHARO! What a fun lady, and they way she played the classical guitar... IMPRESSING. Go buy her newest CD is all I can say!
