Meeting family in Chicago
We woke up early!!!!! Trying to adjust to the timezone we're in will take a couple of days. The kids took turn waking up during the night at 2 AM, 4 AM and again at 6 AM... no need for a wake up call! We had plenty of time to organize our luggage, get ready for breakfast and enjoy a very nice breakfast in 2100 Blue Restaurant on the 9th floor at The Renaissance Hotel Chicago.
My aunt and uncle came to pick us up at 9 AM, and we drove home to their place to meet up with my cousin and the kids second cousins. So nice to see them all.
After spending some time togheter, catching up the last 15-20 years...., we went for lunch at the Olive Garden! Their servings were huge - compared to Norwegian servings... LOL. Couldn't finish, but loved every bite!
The girls went shopping, and Madeleine though she was in heaven... getting a Pretty Dress, a Build A Bear with various outfits and shorts/tank-top pluss sunglasses from my aunt. Madeleine could not belive herself... thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you..... The boys hang out, playing videogames and chatting. Who says girls talk a lot??? LOL
We went back to our hotel in the afternoon, had a nice dinner at the 9th floor again, and tried to get some sleep, before leaving bright and early the next morning at 5:00 AM
