Disney Animal Kingdom
Finally we made it to Animal Kingdom... Marcus has been asking about this since we left Norway almost a week ago... wanting to see some animals.
We left the condo around 8:30AM and headed for the nearest gas station, needed to fill up! That took a while.. Couldn't get the ATM outside to work, and had to be in line at the cashier... I had no idea how much I wantet to fill the tankt for, I was in need of help, the lady looked at our car and said "Oh a van, $ 45 should be fine.! And it was - full tank, and we're ready for Animal Kingdom. Hoping to see lots of animals :-)
The roadsigns for Animal Kingdom was easy to follow, and the parking and shuttle to the entrance was also very easy and fast. No que at the ticket office, and fast moving lanes into the park.
We had been told to go directly to the Safari, and "ran" to go there asap. It was HOT and HUMID, and we were a bit worried about Marcus' possible headache 'cause of that. But we crossed our fingers, made sure he had lots of water to drink and hoped for the best!
The Safari was great, we saw different animals - not to many, but we were told they are hiding because of the heat... Took lots of pictures.
Animal Kingdom is a nice park, clean and easy to move around in, but we really though there would be more animals around... We didn't go on any rides today, there were long lines and to hot... but we will go back to Animal Kingdom next time we're around - to take all the rides, see all the shows and of course do the safari one more time! WE PROMISE.
We left the park afther about three hours, the kids were tired and hungry and we were HOT HOT HOT! We cooled down in the car, and desided to drive to Downtown Disney for lunch at the Rainforest Cafe! The kids loved it - the food was nice and the decor inside was amazing!
