Arriving at Chicago O'Hare
We arrived at O'Hare at 5:30 PM, for us on Norwegian time it was already 12:30 AM, and we were getting tired. The flight was smooth even though we were expecting bad weather / thunderstorms in Chicago - we had sun :-)
Immigration with fingerprints and picture taking was okay, went rather quick, even though there was a long line. But then we were picked at random for a search. The guy performing the search was quite polite, he went through 4 suitcases, 3 backpacks, one carry on bag, one camera bag and one handbag. Smiling all the way. At this point we just wanted to sleep. It was easy to find the taxies outside, and got one instantly, he had no idea where our hotel was. But with a little help from his little book, he found it, and we helped him read the lines for the fee to pay.... USD 45.00.
Checking in at The Renaissance Hotel was just a pleasure. Nice & clean, friendly staff - everything you could whish for. We got our keys to our room at the 6th floor, and went up with all our luggage before we had a nice snack in the 9th floor restaurant, 2100 Blue.
Didn't eat much though, we were to tired, but getting to sleep was another story, by now we had lost track of time - think it was about 9 PM local, and 4 AM Norwegian... phuu. The kids eventually fell a sleep, but woke up again at 2 AM local time... We had some sleep during the night, not enough though.

Leaving again in the early morning - pre-ordered a taxi for 5:15 AM, the taxi took us a to the O'Hare airport and gave us a tip on where to go for a quick check in. Perfect :-)
