Shopping - Big crowds for bargains.

Today was a free day and we devoted it to shopping in Delhi. I contemplated the idea of wearing a full Sherwani dress. It was fun to shop, but ultimately I decided not to. It was interesting in Carol Bagh to see the vendors selling and making a pitch for business. Bargainig is universally accepted in India. Usually you can offer half the asking price and then work you way to a fair price. It's all part of the adventure of shopping in Delhi. We found some good deals and in the evening sought out some restaurants to find good cuisine. We settled on a place called Dana Choca. The food was to everybodys liking and we were pleased with the restaurant. I have written a review on it here. The Mehendi Ceremony was the next day and we were all looking forward to the festivities...

Yes, I wish I had at least purchased it. It was only something like $60 and a bit extra with the hat. It felt quite nice to wear actually. Well, maybe next time I will be braver - Upendra has one more daughter, so I may have another chance someday!
