Pitstop in Athlone

After much back and forth, we were able to locate a repair shop about 40 miles away (and on route to our destination).   In fact, the silver linining in the story is that our stop was in Athelone, which is in the middle of the country and not likely a stop for most tourists.  The shops were very contemporary and while the look of the town kept true to the old Irish styling, it was really well maintained and looked fresh.

The Advanced Pitstop crew fixed up the tire quickly and we were back on the road to Galway by mid-afternoon.  The rest of the drive was very uneventful — which I appreciated.  However, I was disappointed by the scenery.  Where were these rolling hills of emerald green grass?  I hadn’t seen much at that point and was a bit disappointed.
