I'm NOT IRISH but kiss me and you might get lucky
They say 'everyone is Irish on March 17th', but I was not. My rather adventurous T-shirt read "I'm NOT IRISH but kiss me and you might get lucky" it gave me quite the attention and made me very popular in the night ha-ha!
Boyd the group leader of the Southern Arizona Adventure company is very active in organizing activities for the group members, to date he had organized a whooping 311 activities including the St. Patrick's party. I got an e-mail update of the activities on the calendar for the week beginning Monday 9th. A Friday get-together for the new, shy members to be held at the Wildcat House. The St. Patrick's party to be held at Liz's house some where on
David one of the more seasoned members called to ask if I can car-pool with him and I agreed since he lives far off on the East side. He was to meet me at my house where he would park his car and I would drive us to Liz's house. I printed driving directions from my house to Liz's from Google maps (I love google maps, they are so precise. Google earth will literally show you the house and entrance to it too); it was easy to get there. David arrive at 5:20 p.m. I was vanishing my nails so he waited until I was done. He brought Heineken beer to which I added white wine and we were off by ten to six. We were the first to arrive with Carole following shortly behind us. We helped Liz set up the tables outside by the pool, plate’s and cups inside in her Kitchen and I lit some candles for ambiance. By six-thirty a handful of guests had arrived, mostly new faces.
By seven the house felt busy and full, the pool area was easily accessible from the Kitchen. The DJ came in and began to play some dance music but many of the participants were not dancing. Liz pulled me tot he dance floor and requested Brianna. Soon the dance floor was busy. People talked, danced, made friendships and the green theme was kept all night long.
