Those are big buns

No idea what this was but we saw it and it looked AWESOME. And I think it was European.
What a beautiful drive. I'm sure there will be a lot of these on our trip but wow. Maybe the reason this drive will stay in my memory forever is because of Braeburn. We read in our trusty guide that there were humongous buns to be found outside of Whitehorse and the Milepost did not lie. As usual, our eyes were bigger than our stomachs. I ordered a reuben thinking I'd share it with Sam (I think this is the first reuben I've ever had and it will not be my last). Was I wrong. See review and pictures below.

We happened to meet a friendly traveler who was ordering the same. She was headed up to the Dempster Campground, wherever that may be. I like striking up conversations with fellow travelers. It's always nice. It's up there with waving with people in RV's and getting a wave back.
Ohhhhh the ferry.
Or even a nod! Anywho, the drive was fun. Lots of singing and dancing along the way (think Kokomo).

I don't really know what I was expecting when Silan said, "Let's go to Dawson City!" I hadn't even really seen pictures. This place is like out of a Canadian history book in the section on the Gold Rush. I especially enjoyed the ferry. I envisioned this tiny ferry having so much difficult making U turns each time it got to the other side of the river. Turns out I was wrong! It just goes back and forth in a U. Never turns. Just back and forth and back and forth. All hours of the day. It takes about 4 minutes to go from side to side. I don't think it'll ever get old.

We had dinner at our campground. Love it by the way. Will save the gushing for my review. Our favourite dinner! Sourdough bread (because of the Gold Rush...and because it's delicious) and tomato soup. And then on a stroll around town. We were out till midnight and yet it was still bright out. I love the land of the midnight sun.
