Portimao
Nearby Praia da rocha you will find the old city Portimao.In portimao you will find a big harbour with lot of fisherman's. The most of them are fishing on sardines.From the harbour you can take the boat and sail to the caves of the coast of Portugal, go scuba diving, fishing or enjoy a day at sea.Walk the small streets,and look for the typical portuguese houses and decorations.Before we went with the boat trip we took a ride with our rental car to monchique , a small village in the sierra de monchique with the highest point of 902 meters above sea level.When we arrived at the highest point a lot of touring cars loaded with tourist where on the parking lot.We waited to visit the small shop and lookout because it was to crowded.We took the time to enjoy the views, it was a little bit fuzzy so we couldn't see the mediterranean sea.
After all the touring cars left the area you see all the local portuguese people coming out of the shop and take a rest,waiting for the next load of tourist to come.
Later that day we took the boat to see the coastline of the Algarve and the caves.With small boats we entered the caves and beautiful it was.At the end there was some time to dive into the sea, do some snorkeling and have a sardine from the BBQ.
