Ledra Marriott Hotel Athens

I decided that for such a monumental birthday, I wanted someplace truely, monumental. Athens, was the obvious choice. So much history, so much culture, so much of who we are as a modern civilization started here. This was the perfect place to mark the date in my history.

Room with a view but, still lacking
Ok, so the location isn't the best but, the view of the Acropolis is fantastic. Ammenities are great: rooftop pool, gym, sauna, free shuttle bus to Symtagma Square, superior service.

The hotel has obviously been there quite a while but, does a decent job of keeping things clean and neat. The room was spacious and comfortable. It was bright and nicely appointed. The bed was to die for but, Marriott's mattresses and their bedding is always superior.
The bath was clean and large and full of nice fixtures.

Don't book a taxi to the airport form the front desk as it is 50% more to do so. Also, the shuttle is great but only runs until 7pm, limiting your day or you pay for a taxi. Internet is ridiculous at 20 euro per day.

I enjoyed much of what this hotel had to offer but, I would probably choose a different location when returning to Athens. There are better locations to be had.
