finally i made it to orlando. since i was a kind, people were always talking about orlando, fl.
orlando, orlando, orlando, orlando... so a few weeks before my departure i checked out some travel guides, to get to know more about that city. i couldn't find much, except theme parks! and this actually was the case...

however i gotta admit, after we left the airport by car, orlando looked quite "american" though...and it had some nice areas. it took us like 30 minutes to reach our hotel, which was next to seaworld park. there were lots of shopping area, along the main roads...

streets, streets, traffic lights, streets, traffic lights... shops... i kept asking myself where would all the people live. after the traffic jam, we were drive along the parks, ..once again... outlets, streets, parks, streets, traffic lights...

there were lots of those residence areas, surrounded by walls and gates...
still no regular homes.... no bakers, no butchers, ..once in a while you could see a wallgreen market.

orlando actually isnt' that bad for tourists...who like theme parks..or those who just wanna spend some time at their hotel. but i still didn't know why people were SO AMAZED about orlando.

i loved the shopping part though...those big outlets with very attractive prices.
but once again...LOTS of outlets... almost no regular shops..

if i had to turn back..i would spend 2 days in orlando.. just for visiting some outlets, and spending 1 day in a park. that's it.

we saw most of Orlando in 2 days... of course without spending a whole day in a park.
orlando is a nice city, if you've got kids, and wanna check out the several parks.

1st Day:
We arrived around 5 p.m., so til we got out of the hotel it was around 8 pm.
being too much exhausted, because of the 9 hour flight, we decided to walk around
at the disney city walk. it's not THAT fascinating, but they've got some nice gift-shops,
and restaurants, like house of blues, planet hollywood, virgin music store..
we stayed at that green-forest, jungle restaurant... the meals were pretty big, but not tasty,
and way too expensive.

2nd Day:
we started with a breakfast at denny's. then we started our morning with a visit at the outlet,
not far away from our hotel. After having spend a few hundred bucks, we decided to check out
the universal studios city walk. same like disney's, not THAT spectacular, but still you can
have a good pleasant time. that same day we drove towards downtown orlando... I can't say much about it,
because we only stayed there for 2 hours, but it felt unsafe. Lots of weird people in the streets, poor people
as well... WE visited that old train station. Actually it was the only nice thing we had discovered in downtown.
the big lake, with the fountain, didn't impress us much, because it was pretty freezing outside. We went to another shopping mall around 7 pm. Where we also had dinner.. at the food court.

3rd Day:
we left Orlando in the morning, driving towards Cocoa, and Cape Canaveral.
