Our 3200m relays ran strong; the girls had a great time and the boys placed fourth.  BM just barely missed finals of the shot put.  MO did not run as well in the girls' 3200 as she wanted but did not collapse, a relief to all of us after watching the end of her race.  Another girl (who had been battling for the lead) fell with 100m to go, picked herself up, wobbled 80 more meters, and then fell again.  We cheered her efforts on but she kept falling backwards, couldn't even crawl.  Finally she stood back up and struggled across the line.  The weather (in the 80's and sunny) was definitely a factor.  DC did not qualify for 200m finals but didn't look bad.  The 800m relay also ran clean although CN was hurting afterwards.

I had driven separately from the team since I would be staying up in the area with my parents to prepare for my graduation the next day.  I had an easy time following the bus and parking (and the parking fee was even waived since I was there for the state meet!) but got a bit turned around leaving campus.  I drove around somewhat lost until pulling a map out.  Maps are great things :)
