Here we go again! Follow along as we run, jump, and throw this spring season.

Dunbar Invitational

Weather: very sunny, very windy, eventually warm.   (When I say very windy, I'm not joking.  We watched one of our girls almost get blown over as she ran).

AC won either the 1600 or 3200m, I can't remember right now which one for sure.

The running highlight for us was watching TW run the steeplechase.  For those of you unfamiliar with this race, it is five or six laps, each lap has four or five high fat hurdles.  Athletes usually jump onto the hurdle and then back onto the track.  The hurdle on the curve has a water pit after it.  The goal is to avoid landing in the water trap...unless you're just running the steeplechase for fun.  Last year our kids were fascinated by this event, and this year TW begged to be in it.

Several of our boys helped set up the long jump/triple jump pit and got free T-shirts.

Don't tell the head coach but we stopped at McDonald's on the way home for a quick dinner (we did run into the restaurant).
