3 quick days in Poland! Flew into Wroclaw, drove through Czech Republic and Slovakia on the way to Krakow. One night in Krakow, Auschwitz I & II, Jewish Quarter & Shindlers Factory. Second night in Wroclaw.

An Interesting Town to Check Out

Driving back, we passed through a town I had not seen yet and wished we had time to stop and play!  It's called Helmond and although I couldn't snap pictures fast enough of the cute little walk streets and packed bars, I did manage to get a couple semi decent (non- blurry) ones of the surrounding architecture.

I tried to find a little info on Helmond online - appears the first settlements in the area were around 1000 and it was granted city rights in approximately 1232.  There is a castle in the center of town, built by Jan III van Berlaer around 1350.  The town is known primarily for having many textile companies.
