Packing up and time to go home

What a great week it has been. We had plenty to do and the weather held out for us. We are packing our suitcases trying to make everything fit again..lol.
We enjoy staying at Carr's Cottages even more this year. We stayed in the apartment style. They offer motel rooms, cottages, apartments, and chalets. All depending on what you want to spend for the night. They offer maid service if you want it or if you do not want to be disturbed you can stop by the office and pick up extra towels. In the past we have had wood burning fireplaces which are very nice. But you have to bring the wood in from outside and you have to keep an eye on the fire and add more wood when needed. This time we had a gas fireplace. With a turn of the knob your fireplace is on. The switch was on a timer.
Check out time for Carr's is 11:00am. We have to turn the car rental in by 2:00pm and our flight on US Airways leaves at 5:55pm. After checking out we are going to stop somwhere for breakfast. We do not eat eggs, bacon, and toast back home every morning. So when we are on vacation we do a little extra. We stopped at I-Hop(international house of pancakes) in Sevierville, Tennessee. They place was packed so we had to wait about fifteen minutes to get a table. I had the strawberry french toast and Mike had the homefries covered in eggs, bacon, and cheese with a side of pancakes. We were both hungry..:)
Knoxville's McGhee Tyson Airport is very nice. The big airports like Denver and Atlanta will and can walk you to death trying to catch a connecting flight. And you have to hop on the car rental shuttle and travel to the rental car pick up area. Not here, everyting is compact and to pick up your rental car you walk out the doors to the garage, that's it!!
