The new ghost of Kassel
It was Friday and I rushed my work to receive my guests from Amsterdam who drove all the way from A city to spend the weekend with me here in Kassel
. A daughter of my Suriname-Dutch family and her 2 best girlfriends, who arrived early and waited on me while I rush to buy 3 flower bouquets for them, the sweethearts. As soon as they saw me walking towards my apartment, they got out of the car and shouted joyfully and did a special Kassel dance they have created for me right on the middle of the road and it was a jam session..ha ha ha. Sweethearts.
So there starts a fantastic weekends. We went up to the apartment, got ready, went out to grocery store for shopping. Bought lots of Red wine in Jacques, a nice popular wine shop, just below my apartment.
Came home and they cooked delicious dinner and I helped mostly by watching, that's the best I can do when you have 3 chefs at work. They were so quick in organizing the tables and we sat down playing cards while cooking. So joyful and so nice to see them again, my schatjes. They were very happy to cook for me too so we had rice, chicken in 'kicap', keropok, veges and sat down eating and playing cards, the 7 Clubs and others. Had really fantastic dinner. They refused to go out but to chill at home and they have prepared a Kassel CD with special songs for me and we had great night chatting away with wine and cards. So relaxing.
Next day, we woke to little hangover and had brunch at 12pm. Played cards again and again. Then, we went out to Kassel and the girls, the princesses enjoyed shopping and sightseeing.
Different looks now
Had lots of fun dancing on the street, laughing, eating bratwurst. We went home, specially to enjoy wine, cheese and crackers while playing cards. Played till midnight. They got ready to party and we went out at 1am, hit a Hallo Bar in Kassel and was disappointed that they did not allow us to smoke Shisha as they were closing in 20 minutes while the board says 2am. BORING. So we had our own fun, tequilla Gold, drinking beer, playing cards and laughing ourselves with fun and I realized German people around were BORING, quiet and we were having a ball. Towards the end, even a German sweet looking girl came to our table to join us and she was very happy to meet the girls and chat away joyfully. We were practically chased away by the bar tenderess...boring. Then we took a cab and hit the Irish Pub Shamrock and had a ball, playing cards there and drinking beer, smoking, chilling.
I choke myself? heh...
Couple of guys try 'hitting' on the angels and it was fun. We were again practically chased away from there and then we hit another place called FES nearby. We played cards again, beer. The bar tender from Irish Pub came to chill with us and bought us Yager M. ...ha ha ha..We hit the smoking area and chill with people playing pool.
Couple of Afghanistan guys try 'hitting' on the girls and we had fun watching all these and overall had fun but kinda boring here in Kassel, compared to Amsterdam, definitely...yuukksss. We hit the McDonalds, came home. Played cards again and slept. Next day, woke up with hangover, played cards again and cook and eat and they left in the evening. Short trip, long drive but was lots of fun. They made my day, my weekend and weekend to come. Was something I will cherish. Yehooooo.
