The Summary
Kunming is the capital city in Yunnan, and also a gateway to other remote areas of Yunnan. I lived in Kunming for only 1 year. Although my stay is rather short, I do remember Kunming as a nice place, busy, industrious, commercial environment, shops everywhere, banks and post offices open 7 days a week. It is fairly attractive but nothing special.
